Accreditation
The McHenry County Correctional Bureau is proud to be accredited
by the American
Correctional Association (ACA). There are only 4 county jails
in the state of Illinois which have achieved accreditation and we
are proud to be one of them. To be accredited by the ACA, a
facility must prove adherence to the following principles:
- Humanity
- Justice
- Protection
- Opportunity
- Knowledge
- Competence
- Accountability
These principles are essential to the foundation of sound
corrections policy and effective public protection.
