The Illinois Jail Standards requires that the Corrections / Jail area where prisoners are housed, is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. The complex housing the Sheriff's Department also requires constant maintenance. This is the responsibility of custodians who maintain the Sheriff's Department and the three story jail facility.
