Press Release- Sheriff’s Office Hosts Free Snowmobile Safety Education Classes

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office will be hosting free Snowmobile Safety Education Classes in Woodstock. After successfully passing this class, attendees will receive a State of Illinois Snowmobile Safety Education Certificate of Competency. 

  Attendees of this one-day, eight (8) hour course will learn the basics in maintenance and repair of snowmobiles, proper and safe operation, history of snowmobiling, first aid, protection of the environment and the state laws. Illinois requires any person without a driver's license, or at least 12-years-old and less than 16-years-old, operating a snowmobile to possess a valid Illinois Snowmobile Safety Education Certificate or be accompanied on the snowmobile by a person at least 16-years-old. 

  Class Dates:

  -Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 8am-4:30pm

-Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 8am-4:30pm

-Saturday, January 1, 2020 from 8am-4:30pm

-Saturday, February 9, 2020 from 8am-4:30pm
