Press Release- Crystal Lake Man Arrested On Drug Charges

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force arrested Jordan Carmody, 26, of Crystal Lake on multiple drug charges and outstanding felony warrants.

On December 22, 2020, Task Force members and the Sheriff's Office Intelligence Unit learned that Carmody was wanted on multiple arrest warrants from various agencies, was possibly armed with a handgun, and was in the McHenry County area selling narcotics. 

Investigators developed information into the whereabouts of Carmody and he was located in the 1500 block of Briarwood Circle, Crystal Lake. When Investigators approached Carmody he fled on foot and was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.  Carmody was arrested and was discovered to be in possession of approximately 2 grams of cocaine, 3 tabs of LSD, 20 ecstasy pills, and $250 USC.  The street value of the narcotics is estimated to be $430 USC.

During the foot pursuit Carmody was seen throwing a black object from his waistband.  A K9 article search was conducted of the area and a replica handgun was located.  Carmody was later transported to the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility.

The charges against this individual are merely allegations against him.  All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
