Radio Recording Fees
Subpoenas requiring the Sheriff's Department to impound the
original logging recorder compact disk upon which the 911 or radio
conversation is stored require a fee of $125.00 in addition to any
copying fee below.
If you request a copy of the recorded 911 emergency telephone or
radio conversation, but do not require impounding the original
compact disk, the fee is $50.00 per hour plus the cost of the
recording media (cassette/CD) Minimum fee of one hour is
charged.
- These fees are payable in addition to the standard subpoena
fee, and must be paid before any recordings will be released.
- 911 emergency telephone and radio recordings are maintained for
30 days before being written over.
- Subpoenas for 911 and radio conversations must be directed to:
McHenry County Sheriff's Communications Division.
In addition to the Sheriff's deputies, the McHenry County
Sheriff provides radio dispatch services for the following police
and fire agencies:
